During this era of COVID-19, many restaurants and retailers are being placed under lockdown. Many of these businesses have had to take extra precautions to ensure consumer safety, such as making hand sanitizer available by the gallons, installing sneeze guards at the register, positioning social distancing floor tape, and restricting access to mask-wearing customers only. Countless businesses have been forced to either adjust or close as virus cases skyrocketed. Now, imagine being a maintenance company that depends on restaurants, retailers, and corporate offices to stay afloat. With the pandemic looming overhead, clients from these businesses are going off the grid, making maintenance services nonessential.

Inna Tuler is the founder and CEO of one such business—Maintco Corp., a Burbank, CA-based family-run general construction company specializing in turn-key service, repair, and remodeling of convenience stores, fast-food restaurants, and supermarkets serving California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. She founded the company in 1996 with her late husband, Abraham, after emigrating to the States from Israel. The company’s establishment started with a vision to help clients maintain thriving businesses that support their communities. Since his passing, Tuler has taken over the business—a successful female in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Although, she still thinks of it as a family business with her son-in-law working alongside her.

Instead of succumbing to the pressures of the pandemic, the business has pivoted to include and specialize in helping other businesses reopen safely and COVID-compliant. This involves everything from deep cleaning to installing plexiglass, constructing social distancing barriers, and much more. Tuler has made the best out of a bad situation and helps to keep her clients and customers able to keep their own businesses going during this time. It’s a true way of doing business while also helping out the community. Maintco Corp. is donating some of these services to charity organizations as well.

Tuler’s extensive industry knowledge ranges from planning and budgeting to executing complicated and architecturally significant remodeled projects of commercial and retail properties. At Maintco Corp., she employs construction experts, marketing professionals, engineers, and project managers to facilitate and execute each project and bring value to every client.

Tuler is also a certified property manager and a real estate broker. She holds LEED AP and Six Sigma Green Belt accreditations. A former concert pianist, she earned her BA in performing arts from Tel Aviv University. Her professional progression over the past 26 years is what resulted in her evolution as the CEO of a fast-growing, female-owned business.

Active in her community, Tuler is a member of Vistage, an international executive coaching organization, and WPO, the International Women President Organization. She serves on the board of directors for Friends of Sheba Medical Center, the largest hospital in Israel and the entire Middle East, and The Ed Asner Family Center (as well as serving on their Gala committee). Tuler is also involved in her local Chabad and supports their daycare center and other charitable events. She also loves fitness, travel, and is the only female member of the Beverly Hills Cigar Club.
